Redhawks of the Week: Freshman Kyle Halford

As a staff, the Central Times strives to recognize the accomplishments, talents, personalities, ambitions and dreams of the diverse student body. Each week, the Central Times will interview an outstanding Central student from each grade level and then feature these students on our website, centraltimes.org, as Redhawks of the Week. These students are nominated by their peers. If you wish to nominate an outstanding Central student for Redhawks of the Week, please tweet the student’s name and grade to @centraltimes, message the Central Times on Facebook, or submit your nomination during school to Room 218, the Central Times office.

1. What are your post high school plans?

After high school I plan to go to college and hopefully get some sort of part time job. I have considered double majoring in business and dance but haven’t looked too far into that.

2. How do you fit into the NCHS community? What activities are you involved in and what do you contribute inside and outside of the classroom?

After one semester at Central, I love it! It’s so welcoming and it’s such a fun environment. I am currently in DECA and hope to find more ways to contribute to Central.

3. What are you most proud of?

One thing I am very proud of is my success in school and extracurricular activities and how I am able to balance everything in my schedule.

4. What is your life dream?

I wish to live a successful life and have a family! I also hope I can continue with dance for as long as possible in my life.

5. What do you want other Redhawks to know about you?

One thing I would like others to know about me is that I am a dancer! I dance every day of the week for at least three hours each day.  It takes up the majority of my time but I love it and I wouldn’t change that for anything!

6. Favorite high school memory?

Since I have only been at Central for only one semester, I don’t have too many memories yet but I really enjoyed Homecoming Week and the actual dance!

7. Favorite joke or quote

My favorite quote is, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because happened.” -Dr. Seuss

8. What is something you can’t live without?

One thing that I can’t live without is dance because it helps me through many challenges in my life.

9. What are three adjectives you would use to describe yourself?

Three adjectives I would use to describe myself are optimistic, supportive and outgoing.

10. If your life were a movie, what would be the title?

I think the movie title would be “Go,” because I am always on-the-go and I always think you should just go for it!

11. Who is your biggest hero or role model?

My biggest role models are my parents because they always put my needs before their own, and they always try to stay positive during hard times in their life.

12. What is a motto you live your life by?

One quote that I live my life by is “Live, always do what you love.”
