Q: What’s your name?
A: Sharon Yang
Q: What is your position here at Central?
A: I’m a math teacher. I’m teaching Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.
Q: What did you do before coming to Central?
A: This is my first year teaching. I student taught at Urbana High School. I just graduated from University of Illinois.
Q: What hobbies are you interested in or involved in?
A: I just adopted a kitten named Thor, so in my free time I like playing with my kitten. My family is in different locations across the country. My moms are in Korea so I like FaceTiming them.
Q: What communities are you involved in or hope to become involved in at Central? Any clubs or sports?
A: I would like to know more about the math team as a math teacher. Plus, I have a Korean background. I grew up in Korea, so any clubs that involve Korean culture could be really fun and I could support students who are interested in that.
