Nick Linne inducted to athletic hall of fame
February 7, 2023
Q: How do you feel about being inducted into the athletics hall of fame?
A: Personally, I am very humbled to be here with all the athletes and to hear about the people who came before us. I’m not sure I belong up here. But it’s really cool because there’s been some incredible athletes and people who have been in the hall of fame. I just feel very very humbled.
Q: How has your time as an athlete helped your life beyond your Naperville Central Experience?
A: I don’t think I realized how much sports and the lessons you learn in sports apply to the rest of your life. Sports are a great example of life because you’re going to fail all the time but you still have to take chances.
Q: What advice do you have for current athletes?
A: It’s very simple and cliche but just have fun. You don’t realize at this point in your life but everything is about having fun. As a highschooler you don’t have any responsibilities. You’re just working hard in the classroom and the sports world, that’s how it’s meant to be.
Q: What’s one of your favorite memories you made while at central?
A: The friends you make. My best friends from high school are still my best friends today.
