Naperville District 203 announced earlier this morning school would be cancelled for today with an anticipated snow storm to hit the Chicagoland area. The snow storm is predicted to dump 10 inches of snow onto public streets.
“Due to inclement weather, there will be no school in Naperville School District 203 today,” said the district in a statement released on their website. “Please note that any student who receives transportation through District 203, including those who attend parochial schools and out-of-district facilities, will not be transported as a result. Students who are affected will receive an excused absence. There is no obligation for parents to transport these students to school.”
The school opted against using the late start option in favor of a snow day. Here are some student reactions to the announcement of a snow day via Twitter.
