About the Writers
Prem Chandrasekar, Managing Editor
Prem Chandrasekar is a senior at Naperville Central. This is his second year of staff as a Staff Writer, and his first year as a Managing Editor. Prem plays on the tennis team, is involved in JSA and Merry Tutor. In his spare time, you can see Prem binge watching Arrested Development or coaching tennis for kids with Down Syndrome. In the future, he hopes to attend the US Air Force Academy.
Mary Jane Deer, Head News Editor
Mary Jane Deer is a senior and a first year member of the Central Times editorial board. She is a News Section Editor and is so excited about being a part of Central Times! Mary Jane is also a member of NCHS’ cross country team, Theater Central, National Honors Society, and Spanish Honors Society. She loves writing, baking, spending time with friends and family, and bingeing Disney movies.
Cameron Rozek, Editor-in-Chief & Head News Editor
Cameron is a senior at Central and ready for his fourth year with Central Times as one of this year's Editors-in-Chief. Outside of CT, Cameron captains the Model UN team, outside of school Cameron works on his car and enjoys geocaching, building computers and competitive Rubik's cube solving. He hopes to eventually pursue a career in engineering, but never to give up journalism. Cameron wants you to know that if you are currently stalking the Central Times staff, you are invited to join us at any time.
Maggie Dalton, Head Photo and Art, Community Editor & Columnist
Maggie Dalton is a senior at Naperville Central High School and Head of Photo and Art. This will be her second year on staff. She loves the friendships and community in the Central Times. Maggie runs cross country and track as well as participating in Student Advisory Council. Outside of school Maggie leads church retreats, hammocks, and plays ukulele. In the future, she hopes to become a high school Social Studies teacher.
Amisha Sethi, Editor-in-Chief & Community Co-editor
Amisha Sethi is a senior at Naperville Central. When she is not writing for the Central Times she is playing tennis, listening to music, or doing hot yoga. Amisha is not sure of what career she would like to pursue but is excited to discover what the future holds for her.
Danielle Pritchard, Head Photo & Art Editor & Features Editor
Danielle Pritchard is a senior at NCHS, and is looking forward to her second year on the Central Times’ Editorial board. While intrigued by nearly everything, she has yet to choose a career path. With interest in the arts, writing, design, justice, and STEM, she tends to shift from hobby to hobby, and panic when asked to make decisions. Hopefully she’ll figure herself out by the time she has to adult.
Kylie Brown, Entertainment Editor
Kylie Brown is a senior at Naperville Central and is the Section Editor of Entertainment. This is her first year on Central Times, but she wishes she had joined sooner! Outside of Central Times, Kylie is part of the Varsity Poms team and the Orchesis Dance team. You can also find her working at Everdine’s Grilled Cheese in downtown Naperville. She is so excited to be apart of Central Times and hopefully someday pursue journalism as a career.
Richie Holmberg, Jr., Sports Editor
Richie Holmberg is a Senior at Naperville Central High School. He serves as the Sports Editor and an Opinions Columnist of the Central Times. He has played 4 sports at Naperville Central, including Football, Baseball, and currently, Bowling and Track and Field. He is a member of the Scholastic Bowl team, National Honors Society, and French Honors Society. Outside of school, Richie enjoys to cook and learn about food.
Rachel Cole, Opinions Editor
Rachel Cole is a junior at Naperville Central High School. This is her first year on the Central Times Staff as the opinion editor, photographer, and a staff writer. In her free time she runs cross country and track, is a participant of Red Rage, and Theater Central Her hobbies outside of Cross Country include, watching movies, cooking, drawing, and hanging out with her friends outside of school. She plans to go into either a psych or Journalism field hopefully at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Vivian Zhao, Editor in Chief, Editorial Editor & Columnist
Vivian Zhao is a senior at Naperville Central and this is her second year on staff. Outside of CT, Vivian is a DECA President, debate captain, and runs the public health nonprofit All Hearts Count. She enjoys spending time with her friends, reading, watching Netflix & stargazing. After high school, she hopes to attend college in the east coast and pursue a career in policy or law.
Thom Blair
Thom is a Senior at Naperville Central. This is his second year on Central Times. He hopes to learn the roles as a manager and organize the paper to be the most efficient thing it can be. After high school, he hopes to pursue a career in Advertising.
