“Who Runs the World?”: Orchesis Showcase Review

Naperville Central’s Orchesis Dance Showcase “Who Runs The World?” unveiled the hard work the dance team has put in all year. With dance styles ranging from contemporary to tap, the show was an engaging performance highlighting the diverse talent of the team.
Seniors Brittney Heath, Gloria Korpas, Natalie Kromphardt, Breanne Kuntz, Lauren Mellenthin, Emily Morrone, Karin Potter, Maddie Rossier, Meghan Sedlacek and Allie Walsh led the way through the dance numbers, a majority of the which were choreographed by Orchesis members.
Dancers also performed solos, showing individual technique and ability.
A highlight of the show was the annual “Men of Orchesis” dance, this year titled “Knockout,” where every Orchesis member chose a boy to dance with.
Overall, the showcase brought talent, entertainment and the clear passion for dance.
