Breaking out of his boy band shell, Nathan Sykes, formerly in “The Wanted,” has had a ‘quick’ rise as a solo artist. Being able to hold his own, his single, “Kiss Me Quick,” has a, dare I say, Justin Timberlake flair which I couldn’t help but falling in love with.

As a usual in the pop music scene, I’m a sucker for a catchy beat and decent lyrics that aren’t completely about getting “turnt at the club,” as the kids say. I felt this song was different, because of its content and soul.

Its throwback vibe and snappy beat is something I have heard a lot on the radio lately, (did somebody say “Downtown” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis?) but even with its similarities, this song stands alone.
