Naperville homes damaged, destroyed by tornado

A tornado damaged many Naperville homes on the evening of June 20, completely destroying this home in the Ranchview neighborhood as the homes on either side sustained storm damage but were otherwise spared.

The official start of summer made a dramatic entrance last night, as a late evening storm produced severe weather in the Chicagoland area, including a reported tornado that ripped through several suburbs, including southeast Naperville. The Ranchview neighborhood, home to District 203 families, was among the hardest hit.
