As a way to wrap up the 2022-23 school year, we thought it would be a good idea to rank our top 10 favorite photos from throughout the year. The Central Times’ staff captured moments big and small, telling stories and documenting the year at Central. We ranked these photos based on criteria such as composition, lighting and the moment itself.

Jay Deegan, Editor-in-Chief

Jay Deegan, a senior, is more excited than ever to be back working on the Central Times. Now in his fourth year on staff, he has previously served as the Print Managing Editor and Editorial Editor. In his free time, Jay is an avid movie watcher and a huge Bears fan (Caleb Williams is our savior). He also runs a freelance sports media business where he expresses his love of sports through all types of visual media. If you stop by the Central Times office, you'll likely find Jay there. Interested in joining the staff? Come to a meeting!

D'Niya Little-Segers, Photo Editor

D’Niya Little-Segers is a senior at Naperville Central. She has been a part of Central Times for 3 years. D’Niya enjoys taking sports photos for Central Times and Flight Yearbook. Outside of Naperville Central D’Niya is a freelance sports photographer.

Jake Pfeiffer, Editor-in-Chief

Jake Pfeiffer is a senior, entering his third year on the Central Times staff, this time as Editor-in-Chief. Jake joined CT as a sophomore because he wanted to write news, but since then he has grown to love just about every element of journalism. While it is rare to see Jake anywhere other than the CT office, occasionally you can find him captaining Central’s debate team, watching baseball, listening to a seemingly endless amount of podcasts or drowning in college applications.
