Q: What’s your name?
A: “My name is Ms. Wilder.”
Q: What is your position here at Central?
A: “I am a social studies teacher, this semester I teach US history and sociology, second semester I’ve got a little wide range, world history, civics, econ and cultures.”
Q: What did you do before coming to Central? (jobs, educations)
A: “I was in college and then I graduated in December 2023, I did my student teaching here in fall of 2023 and then got hired here right after I completed my student teaching, I went to Benedictine University.”
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: “I’ve got a bunch. Cheerleading, dancing, [I’m a] big dancer, cooking, reading, baking, used to be an avid boxer, I need to get back into it, I’ve been a bit too busy. I like swimming, I swim a lot. Those are the big ones.”
Q: What clubs or extracurriculars are you currently involved with, or hope to be involved in here at Central?
A: “Assistant JV cheerleading coach, that’s pretty much all that I would want to be involved with, maybe the dance team.”
Q: Is there anything else you would like to talk about?
A: “Just that I’m very happy to be here. This is little 10-year-old Rochelle’s dream and [the] kids here have been absolutely fantastic. Classes have been good, the vibe here, the general atmosphere of everything has been great. I’m just happy to be here and if I’m ever fortunate enough to have anybody that’s reading this come into my classes, just know you’ll be respected and valued in my room and that’s [a] big thing for me.”
