Naperville Central’s girls golf team concluded their season with a fourth place finish at the DuPage Valley Conference Championship on Sept. 27.
Junior Ashika Patel finished in fourth, leading the Redhawks with 78 points.
“Most of the golfers have been with us for three years, and they have been improving each year and each tournament,” head coach Wright King said. “We saw seven or eight personal bests at DVC.”
King hopes to continue improving upon the team’s strong foundation to build on their results in the future.
Junior Mae Binkowski finished in eighth place, ending with 83 points, followed by sophomore Alexa Miller in 20th with 92 points.
“My favorite moment was definitely finishing and hearing about how a lot of people got personal records,” Miller said, “This year our team improved a lot from last year, and it seems like every day someone [got] a PR.”
