Wednesday, Feb. 12 has been called as an eLearning day for Naperville 203 schools due to forecasted snowfall impacting the Naperville area.
A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Service for Naperville and surrounding communities on Feb. 11.
“Tomorrow’s closure is primarily due to the National Weather Service upgrading their alert to a Winter Weather Advisory, and calling for varied snowfall amounts during the school day tomorrow,” Superintendent Dan Bridges said in an email sent to parents and employees.
The advisory calls for snowfall accumulations between three and six inches and heavy snowfall from 9 a.m. Wednesday till 3 a.m. Thursday.
“Travel could be very difficult, including during the Wednesday evening commute,” according to the advisory.
High school students are expected to asynchronously complete all assigned work from their teachers on Canvas, replacing a normal school day.
