Central’s girls’ soccer team bested Schaumburg at the St. Charles East tournament this past Saturday by a score of 2-1.

Goals from sophomore Maddie Redeker and junior Meridith Hannan both came in the second period in a contest that saw 21 shots on goal for the Lady Redhawks.

The non-conference win improves Central’s record to 4-2-3, with a DVC conference record of 1-0-1. The team plays conference rival Metea Valley at home this afternoon at 5 p.m.
