Naperville Central will hold its annual homecoming dance on Sept. 21 from 7-10 p.m. This year’s theme is Vacation to Greece.

The dance will be held on the track, refreshments and Just Dance will be in the cafeteria area and Karaoke will be in the auxiliary gym.

The main homecoming assembly will take place on Friday, Sept. 20 on the football field, which will feature performances and recognitions of fall sports and activities.

“It’s kind of a way to really get the theme going, the spirit of homecoming,” Redhawk Rowdies sponsor Kristina Hagenbaumer said. “We do class competitions that kind of branch off of that throughout the week.”

The homecoming kickoff assembly was held on Monday, Sept. 16 in the main gym. It featured class competitions and announced this year’s homecoming court.

Each day of the week has a different dress-up theme. Monday was class colors, Tuesday was tourist fits, Wednesday was airport fits (pajamas), Thursday is Olympic wear and Friday is gold out.

Homecoming tickets are $25 and can be purchased outside Student Services from Monday to Friday. They can also be purchased for $25 at the door.
